Engine
Engine and emissions
Tell us which engine your Volkswagen has and how it runs. On TDI diesels, mention any DPF or AdBlue warnings. On petrol TSI engines, any misfires or oil use. Recent work such as a cambelt change is worth telling us about.
This is what we look at on every Volkswagen, and what is worth telling us, so your offer is right first time.

Gearbox
Many Volkswagens have a DSG automatic gearbox. Let us know if it changes smoothly, whether it has been serviced, and about any judder or warning lights. On manuals, tell us how the clutch feels.
Electric
For an electric car or plug-in hybrid, tell us the range you see on a full charge, whether you have the charging cables and if any battery or charging messages appear.
Body
Photos of all four sides and the wheels help us price fairly first time. Let us know about any previous accident repairs or paintwork.
Spec
Tell us the trim and options such as sat nav, the panoramic roof, Digital Cockpit, adaptive cruise control or a tow bar.
History
A stamped book or digital service record, MOT history and both keys all help. Mention any big jobs that have been done, such as a DSG service or a timing belt.
This page explains what we look at when we value a Volkswagen. It is not a price guide: every car is valued individually, free and without obligation.
